Airport Alternatives
Don't search only one airport.
Why nearby airports matter
The airport you type isn't always the best one to fly from or into. Nearby airports can offer different airlines, routes, stopovers, prices, and schedules — so widening the search often reveals options a single-airport search misses.
Origin alternatives
Where you depart from is flexible more often than people assume. For example:
- Skopje: SKP, plus PRN, OHD, SOF, SKG, TIA, BEG
- Vienna: VIE, plus BTS, BUD, GRZ
- Milan: MXP, LIN, BGY, plus TRN, VRN
These are illustrative — the useful set depends on your route and how far you can travel.
Destination alternatives
The same applies at the other end: arriving at a nearby airport is sometimes faster or cheaper once you add a short ground transfer, especially where a secondary airport has more direct or low-cost routes.
Explore it on the map
CovaSky's Airport Explorer maps commercial airports worldwide. Start in Passenger Airports for flight planning, or switch to Aviation Explorer to see small airports, heliports, seaplane bases, and specialist airfields.
What to verify
- Ground transfer time between the airport and your real destination
- Visa and border rules if an alternative airport is in another country
- Baggage rules, especially across separate tickets
- Late or overnight arrivals and onward transport
- Final availability and fares on partner sites
CovaSky shows airport reference and route ideas only — no live prices. Check final availability on Aviasales and verify transfers, visas, and baggage. Read the full disclaimer.
